Great sound quality and mic is clear and loud to other players! PS5
I already have the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ headset and love them with my PS5….best headset I’ve ever owned even compared to the proprietary Sony playstation headsets….so I trusted the name already. Sometimes the full on headset is just too imersive as I game in the same room as I watch TV with my wife. Sometimes for more casual gaming sessions I need just one ear in the game and keep an ear for her as well. The full headset is akward to wear over one ear for an extended period, so I like the wired ear bud as an alternative. I can just put one earbud in and still hear whats going on around me in the house. I used to love the PSVita mobile wired headset but they broke and its no longer available so the search began for the replacement. I found this mobile gaming headset from the company I already know makes high quality products and gave them a try. The sound is increadible and the mic is super clear and chat friends say it produces perfect sound. I did compare the included boom mic adapter vs the inline mic but they said they were both good but the built in mic souded even better. I thought a boom mic on an earbud was strange but you don’t even need it. I fired up COD MW2 and cranked the max volume as a test and it was actually too loud even though it was super clear. When I shot the shotgun it sounded like I was shooting a real shotgun without ear protection!!! I like the top end volume to be too much and that tells you it is a real prformer! Definately recommend this even as a primary gaming headset or mobile. No distortion at high levels and COD footsteps were easy to hear….

These sound better than anything i’ve ever bought from Razer.
Find the Razer headset you like best and then buy these. I say that specifically and somewhat jokingly because i recently tried the Kraken TE headset and it just sounded so awful that without even waiting for it to be returned, i purchased these and plugged it directly into the Razer USB sound device that comes with the Kraken. The little dongle with the THX/volume/mix controls, you know. With these plugged into it, all the features that were unrecognizable in the Kraken headset suddenly came to life and worked more like they’re described. LOL. it surprised me, but i’m not joking at all. As for the way they sound, they’re nothing special. That says more about the Razer Kraken TE than it does these really. They fall apart a little bit at the low end. distort, when they’re turned up pretty loud. which is typical. because of my hardware, i couldn’t use the microphone unless i used a headphone splitter or this Razer device and i think it did affect the audio slightly, but they sounded way better than the Krakens in both plugs. I still have the Krakens and i tested them in it to see if i’d get lucky twice and it wasn’t going to cooperate further. You really can’t go wrong. They compete with everything in the price range pretty well, except for a couple things you might not like: the 3.5mm plug standard is “the one with THREE black line thingies” so most pc computers will need a splitter if i’m not mistaken. think it’s set up for the mobiles. otherwise, i couldn’t get the mic to show up. so buy a splitter if you need it. 4 pole female to dual 3 pole males. roger that? you can’t go wrong for the price and i guess you can game on your phone or some crap? with a mic? are there games that have open mic chat like the pc on mobile? i have no idea. this was just an experiment for me. the microphone, when it was working through the splitter had a little bit of garbage noise in the signal, but when i plugged these into that razer dongle i mentioned the microphone sounded basically perfect? you get a very tiny amount of pop sometimes cause it’s raw dog, but it actually sounds freakin’ great. better than most gaming headsets for pc easily. which is funny. i’m serious too. its a great mic, i kind of wish i had a headset that was native to two male 3pole ends just like this one. i’d call that a great gaming headset. as good as or better than anything that i am aware of up to 60 dollars with the mic working normally. if you’re using something that accepts the 4pole plug natively, you’re probably not going to find much better than this. unless you’re already set up to use an IEM, then i don’t even know what you’re doing here. you’re addicted. get some help.

A wonderful purchase decision. Improvement to not just audio, but voice as well.
This headset ended up being a wonderful purchase decision. Improvement to not just audio, but voice as well. SteelSeries products have been a wonderful buy, another honorable mention would be a keyboard I purchased (an unknown amount of years ago) is still kicking. The coating on some of the keys have chipped away through time but the keyboard has held the test of daily use, which could be classified has intensive use.To move back to the topic of the headset, it was an adjustment getting use to the smaller diameter cord and the flexible ear supports. I still get worried about the small cord sometimes but it has held up with daily use for a couple months or more now. As for the flexible support for the ears, I am use to adjust when I put on the ear as needed and the conform to the ear lightly and quite nice.Another topic would be the quality of the audio and voice. The audio gives a swell sound in both earpieces and the voice was great as well. People on the other end said it was a ginormous improvement to hearing me.I hope you enjoy this headset and get while they last, since I have noticed SteelSeries retires products quite often. It has been difficult endeavor finding an affordable quality earpieces with a boom mice, and a replacement the matches my keyboard (is retired since SteelSeries doesn’t sell anymore and hasn’t made a similar one…..yet!).

I bought these to replace a set of similar ADV NISMOs that died. I was honestly just expecting something easy to pack that I could use for video calls while traveling, I had no expectations for audio quality. My initial quick test turned into an intense 2 hour long critical listening session because these surprised me!Definitely has a V-shaped sound curve, but who cares. These are really fun! The bass is punchy, and the treble is definitely boosted but it’s not overdone. Gives it a nice and bright signature. The aforementioned ADVs were dark and muddy by comparison. What else: fit is surprisingly good for my notoriously difficult ears. The boom mic is decent, it definitely gets the job done with solid clarity and even a decent hint of low end. Sure it has a low SNR, but it’s clearly better than the built in mic array on my MacBook Pro, and most video conferencing software these days automatically filters such noise quite well.I’m a little nervous about only having a fabric pouch for protection though. Let’s see how durable these prove to be over time.Overall I’m impressed
