    Works great!
    My first thought was it seems thin and fragile, easily breakable. However; so far so good. We use this product daily. No mess no nothing. It’s simple fits the plates well seems to be just the right size, easily washable and it gets used constantly. More importantly, the wife loves it, no more microwave explosions to clean! I think it was the chili incident that prompted me to buy this item and yes it was I that did it. I now have my microwave privileges restored as long as I use this cover. We have yet to accidentally drop it to see how it stands up to that. Other than that, I can’t find a single reason not to own one of these if you own a microwave you will love this product!UPDATE: Nordic Ware says its BPA free! enough with the BPA warnings they do not apply to this product. We have used this for 7 months now without issue! Seems like the vast majority of the reviews agree this is a great product. Sure there will always be a few people who encounter some sort of issue. I stand behind my recommendation at least until I run into any issue. I doubt I will but rest assured I will tell you about it. I will buy another if I ever need to. My favorite complaint was “it wont vent if you stack a dish on top of it”. Hmmm, ya think? Of course it wont vent your covering the vent hole. Lets try and remember our reviews need to be fair or they are not helpful! Let’s not blame the product for our stupidity. It’s 11″ people. It states that clearly. Those of you who are complaining, “it’s not large enough for your plates”. OK never mind I give up. You can’t please everyone. However; like I said nearly all of us who reviewed this product love it! I’m not trying to put people down, I’m just trying to remind everyone reviews only work if they are fair and honest! If you have issues, fine tell us. Just make sure it’s the products fault and not your own stupidity. Amend your review that are unfair to the company. Lets do our best to keep this review forum helpful and not allow it to become a useless sounding board like most of the others have been reduced too.Update: 3 years and it is still like new!     I’m happy with this purchase. I use these a lot and love that I no longer have food splatter all over my microwave and have to spend time scrubbing it clean! The shape and width are a good size and fits comfortably over my plates and dishes. The height is reasonable however sometimes the top of the inner part rest on my food which I don’t like so the height of it could be just a little higher but it’s not a huge inconvenience. The dish is very easy to clean.

    Anyone that owns a microwave also needs to own a splatter guard. If I had known about the existence of this and how great it works, I would’ve bought one sooner.— SPLATTER —If you occasionally microwave canned goods/ soups/ leftovers, you will notice it splatters and food gets everywhere in your microwave. Well, after using this, that splatter has been reduced to almost nothing.— IF YOUR MICROWAVE IS DIRTY —Clean your microwave fully before you use this cover, so you will see how much it helps.In a small bowl, pour 1/2 cup of water. Get one lemon and cut into four parts, squeeze two parts into the water, drop the other two into the water along with the squeezed lemons. Microwave for three minutes. This will loosen whatever food you have in there and you can easily wipe the insides clean. Once you start using the cover, you will rarely have to clean it again.— DESIGN —You would think this is just a splatter cover, but it’s been carefully designed. This is a transparent cover that goes over your plate or bowl; this lets you see any food splatter. The roundness fits perfectly over 10″ plates, and on top of bowls. There is a little handle at the top to hold as you’re taking it on and off. There are holes around the top to vent off any steam (and there will still be steam), so be careful when handling once your food is done; sometimes it’s best to let it sit for a few minutes.     These are perfect covers to use in our small microwave. We keep one inside the microwave and then switch them out when one needs to go in the dishwasher.     Don’t know why it took so long for me to discover this Nordic Ware Deluxe 10″ Plate Cover. I’ve needed it for a very long time, and this is perfect for just about everything that needs to be covered in the microwave. The interior of the microwave now stays clean.
