Ensuring Sanitization and Efficiency: Taylor 8766 Dishwasher Test Strips 160 Degree- Temp-Rite

In the realm of commercial and residential dishwashing, maintaining the optimal temperature is crucial for ensuring the sanitization of dishes and utensils. The Taylor 8766 Dishwasher Test Strips 160 Degree- Temp-Rite are designed to provide a quick and accurate method for verifying that your dishwasher is operating at the correct temperature. These test strips are an indispensable tool for anyone seeking to guarantee the cleanliness and safety of their dishes, while also optimizing the efficiency of their dishwasher.

The Importance of Temperature in Dishwashing

Dishwashers rely on high temperatures to kill bacteria and other microorganisms that can adhere to dishes and utensils. The generally recommended temperature for sanitizing dishes is at least 160°F (71°C). If the water temperature is too low, there’s a risk that dishes may not be properly sanitized, potentially leading to the spread of illnesses. On the other hand, excessively high temperatures can be wasteful and may damage certain types of dishes or the dishwasher itself. Therefore, it’s essential to ensure that the dishwasher is operating within the optimal temperature range.

How Taylor 8766 Dishwasher Test Strips Work

The Taylor 8766 Dishwasher Test Strips are specifically designed to test whether the water in a dishwasher reaches the sanitizing temperature of 160°F (71°C). These strips are placed in the dishwasher during a cycle, and after the cycle is complete, they change color if the water has reached the required temperature. This simple, chemical-based reaction provides a clear and immediate indication of whether the dishwasher is achieving the necessary temperature for sanitization.

Benefits of Using Taylor 8766 Dishwasher Test Strips

  1. Ensures Sanitization: By verifying that your dishwasher is reaching the correct temperature, you can be confident that your dishes are being properly sanitized, reducing the risk of bacterial contamination.
  2. Optimizes Efficiency: Regularly checking the temperature can help identify any issues with the dishwasher’s heating element or thermostat, allowing for prompt maintenance and potentially reducing energy waste.
  3. Easy to Use: The test strips are straightforward to use, requiring minimal effort and no technical expertise.
  4. Cost-Effective: Compared to other methods of temperature verification, such as installing a thermometer in the dishwasher, these test strips are a cost-effective solution.

Conclusion

The Taylor 8766 Dishwasher Test Strips 160 Degree- Temp-Rite offer a practical and efficient way to ensure that your dishwasher is operating at the optimal temperature for sanitizing dishes. By regularly using these test strips, you can have peace of mind knowing that your dishes are clean and safe to use, while also contributing to the longevity and efficiency of your dishwasher. Whether you’re managing a commercial kitchen or simply looking to enhance your home’s cleanliness, these test strips are a valuable addition to your cleaning routine.

Ish it had 30 days worth

  2. Taylor

    Inspections
Had to buy these for commercial dishwasher temp gauge not reading correctly. These will work for health department inspections.

  3. Scott m.

    Easy to use
    Measured water temp fine

  4. Nathan Quinn

They are what they claim to be
Came exactly as described & they passed us our health inspection

  5. Tim Zanolini

    Easy to use
My temp guage on my dishwasher isn’t reliably accurate. The inspector was ok with it but these sealed the deal without having to have the machine worked on to get the thermometer fixed that probably never read right anyway. The other option is to put a “waterproof” meter with a max function in there. That will do it but will your $30 guage? 160 is the minimum temp for commercial kitchen sanitization. In PA it is anyway. Easy to use.
