    So happy you had this
    Bought this for my husband for stocking stuffer. He loves this scrub. It smells great, works well, I’m glad we found a face scrub he likes and will use. It’s gentle on the skin but abrasive enough to get it smooth. Love Baxter products. He says it smells like cherry walnut. Wish it didn’t sell out so much or was expensive. It works well, high quality scrub for men.

    Rough but excellent facial scrub
    I searched for a long time to find a facial scrub that worked well on skin with stubble and didn’t leave an after scent. A friend recommended Baxter of California and I’ve been hooked ever since.First off, if you have sensitive skin I don’t think this product would be right for you. At times it can feel like rubbing sand mixed with shards of glass all over your face. However, that may be what makes it so effective. After using it I feel like I’ve taken not only the dead skin off, but probably a few extra layers as well. This is great if you have a beard or stubble since other facial scrubs don’t seem to penetrate beneath the hairs. It leaves your face feeling refreshed and skin feeling smooth. It also seems to help with in grown hairs after shaving.I would recommend using it only once or twice a week. More than that and you run the risk of scrubbing your face off. You would also be wasting a very expensive product. At $17 its not cheap, but in this case a little goes a long way. I use a pea drop sized amount once a week in the shower. It also pairs well with Baxter of California face wash to help cleanse the skin you just scraped clean.I would highly recommend this product.

    This is a really nice scrub. Smells great, makes your skin feel good and doesn’t irritate. The drawback is that it’s way too expensive for the amount you get.

    Worth every penny!
    I bought this for my husband who works hard outside every day for his family and isn’t one for using hardly anything on his skin beyond soap and shaving cream. I talked him into trying this because I noticed he was getting razor bumps. This product has helped so much in a very short time! Within a week or two, not only have the red bumps decreased significantly, but his skin is looking so much better, too. It’s looking smoother, fresher, younger. I am really impressed, especially since I was not thinking his skin looked bad at all, just the razor burn, but now that I see the difference, I see how wrong I was. Now, let’s see if I can talk him into using another product to take care of his skin…pfft, men. You’re a lot of work, you know that? But it’s a good thing this one’s worth it 😉 🥰

    Baxter of California – one of my favorite brands and the face scrub is a top product
    I have been a Baxter fab way back since 2014. I remember i first tried a sample in my Birchbox, and from then on, I am a brand enthusiast for them. I have tried and continue to use a number of their products.The face scrub is a staple. I don’t have a skincare routine (I use Irish Spring most nights) but this stuff is my go-to post shave. The exfoliation material inside is really heavy duty (none of that dainty little exfoliation) and it really does help prevent shave afterburn. I use it on my nose and forehead, and this combined with Irish Spring prevents any acne.It doesn’t have a smell, and 2 peas is all you need to scrub your whole face. I place a little bit into the palm of my hand, and then rub my hands together and rub into my face vigorously. It kind of hurts a bit, but it feels good after and does the job.

    I spent the last decade going between this facial scrub, the Jack Black and Khiels version. Love the larger grit and smell. However I realized it just doesn’t work as well as the others. If I run my nail across my chin afterwards I alway get a bunch of skin. While the others I get a fraction. Jack black the best Mens exfoliated IMO.

Vorab, das Produkt erhält völlig zurecht 5 von 5 Sternen – auch wenn ich einen bzgl. des Versands abziehen würde (siehe Fazit), dafür kann das Produkt allerdings nichts. ;)++ POSITIV ++- grobkörnig (ähnlich wie gröberer Sand)- angenehmer Duft- einfach anwendbar- reinigt super und macht die Haut wie neu++ NEGATIV ++- maximal der Preis (dafür langt mir auch eine Tube pro Jahr)## PRODUKT – BESCHREIBUNG ##Für Leute, die es gerne etwas ausführlicher haben – wird es nun spannend. Ich nutze Baxter of California – Facial Scrub schon an die zwei Jahre. Preislich wirkt das Ganze in meinen Augen etwas teuer, kann mitlerweile jedoch sagen, dass man mit einer Tube ein gutes Jahr oder sogar etwas mehr auskommt – im Endeffekt also nicht wirklich teuer. Empfohlen wird es, das Produkt einmal die Woche zu verwenden – bei starken Unreinheiten aber auch zwei Mal die Woche kein Problem (selbst getestet).Beim öffnen der Tube, kommt einem ein angenehmer Geruch entgegen – riecht wie Marzipan – esse ich zwar ungern, aber der Duft ist richtig angenehm. Vom Aussehen her, könnte man von Sand sprechen – auch die grobe Körnung erinnert mich spontan am ehesten an den Sandkasten von früher, als man noch Kind war. Die grobe Körnung bereitete mir zu Anfang etwas Sorge, ob mein Gesicht nicht vielleicht unschön darauf reagiert – ich habe sehr empfindliche Haut – aber gar nicht, im Gegenteil, sehr angenehm!## ANWENDUNG ##Hinweis: Diese Anwendung basiert auf meinem persönlichen Nutzungsverhalten. Ich kann natürlich nicht versprechen, dass jedes Gesicht gleich behandelt werden kann/muss.Hauttyp: Mischhaut (trockene u. schnell fettende Stellen)Vor der Reinigung / dem Peeling mit dem Baxter of California Facial Scrub spüle ich mein Gesicht mit warmen Wasser ab. Je nach Gefühl nutze ich dazu evtl. auch noch einen Waschlappen, um schon mal die groben Unreinheiten zu entfernen. Nachdem ich mein Gesicht abgespült habe, tupfe ich mir mit einem Handtuch das Wasser etwas weg – damit ich meine Augen öffnen kann (mag es nicht, das Wasser regelrecht im Auge zu haben). Das Gesicht selbst bleibt schon nass und die Hand greift zur Tube.Mein Zeigefinger wird ausgestreckt und eine Linie vom Facial Scrub führt von der Fingerspitze bis zum ersten Knick im Finger – also etwas weiter als der Fingernagel lang ist. Diese Menge ist für eine normale Reinigung völlig ausreichend – bei stärken Unreinheiten nehme ich maximal die Menge bis zum zweiten Knick im Finger (etwa einen halben Finger). Das Ganze geschieht auf meinem linken Zeigefinger. Den rechten Zeigefinger nutze ich dann, um mir das Ganze zu dosieren (meine Stirn wird z.B. schneller fettig, als das Kinn). Ich teile die Masse auf meinem Gesicht auf und fange dann von der Stirn abwärts an zu verreiben.Als erstes nur erst einmal grob – bis quasi alles im Gesicht verteilt ist und an den Fingern nur noch die kleinen Reste hängen. Meine Hände bekommen dann nochmal etwas Wasser (Wasserhahn leicht aufdrehen – dann kann man die Reste an den Finger auch noch nutzen). Sind die Hände wieder nass, massiere ich das Ganze regelrecht ein – die Stellen, die schlimmer sind eben länger. Ganz wichtig dabei – vorallem für empfindliche Haut – lass es lieber eine Minuten länger dauern, massiere das Ganze aber sanft ein und gehe lieber öfter drüber, anstatt mit starkem Druck zu reiben.Ist alles eingerieben, wasche ich mir die Hände und lasse es ggf. noch etwas einziehen (Zähne putzen klappt da z.B. als Zeitüberbrückung super) – da die Masse nicht verläuft, sondern eher wie nasser Sand sich anfühlt. Danach einfach das Gesicht abwaschen und wer ggf. noch den Waschlappen neben sich liegen hat, kann diesen zusätzlich nutzen. Der Vorteil dabei, man wäscht nicht nur das Ganze ab, sondern geht automatisch nochmal über die Haut, sodass ggf. auch die kleinsten Markel noch verschwinden. Dann noch eben das Gesicht abtrocknen – kleiner Tipp, bei mir fühlt es sich angenehmer an, wenn ich das Gesicht trocken tupfe. Alles trocken? Dann fühl’ jetzt mal dein Gesicht… wie neu!## FAZIT ##Trotz des in meinen Augen hohen Preises eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Mit einer Tube kommt man sehr weit (bei mir etwa mehr als ein Jahr) und das Ergebnis ist einfach unglaublich. Das Ganze ist auch für empfindliche Haut geeignet (ggf. meine Beschreibung hier drüber lesen). Im Kopf ziehe ich einen Stern für den Versand ab, da mir die Tube (sowie der Karton in dem die Tube ist) ziemlich zerknickt geliefert wurde. Habe daraufhin den Verkäufer kontaktiert, der sich innerhalb weniger Minuten bei mir unter meiner eingetragenen Nummer gemeldet hat und dies klären wollte. Als ich die Mängel nannte, bat er mich den Verschluss zu öffnen, damit ich kontrollieren kann, ob die Tube bzw. der Sicherheitsverschluss nichts abbekommen hat. Der Verschluss zum öffnen der Tube hatte einen Riss (lediglich der Teil, der den Verschluss hält), aber die Schutzfolie war verschlossen.Daraufhin hat mir der Verkäufer angeboten, dass ich 3€ sofort zurückerstattet bekomme. Gut, 3€ sind nicht die Welt – allerdings hält der Deckel notfalls auch ohne dem Plastik-Teilchen, der den Verschluss direkt am Produkt bewahrt – man sollte den Verschluss halt nur nicht wegwerfen. Da man aber so schnell auf meine Mängel reagiert hat, am Telefon der Verkäufer freundlich rüber kam und direkt das Geld erstattet hat, behalte ich mir den einen Stern Abzug lediglich im Kopf.
