Works well, but could be a little better
The Bluetooth adapter works well. It was a little difficult to set up, because the quick start guide isn’t as accurate as I would hope. To get this mic to work right you have to adjust the party sounds settings when your actually in a party with friends under the party settings (not main system settings). The directions don’t specify this. Also I do wish it was a little more comfortable in/on your ear. After 2-3 hours I need to switch ears. But this mic is well worth the buy. It is so nice not to be wired to your controller. I can walk around and still chat while leaving the controller on the table. Sound quality is also good. And my friends say I sound fine.Battery life is good. I played for 6-7 hours straight one session with no signs of low battery.Connection is simple just plug the base in to the controller and turn on the Bluetooth headset and it connects right away. You can even connect it to your phone if you want. I believe you can be connected to your phone and game at the same time for seamless switching if you get a call while gaming.Over all this is a good headset and I’m glad I have it.

A Simple, Affordable Headset with Good Audio Quality!
I ordered this headset to use with my Xbox Series X. I didn’t want one of the dual ear headphone options that make you look like DJ or airline pilot. I also don’t care about hearing footsteps in Call of Duty or whatever else for that “competitive edge”.It is a comfortable, small headset with good audio quality. At first I thought the headset didn’t get loud enough until I realized you can adjust the settings within the Xbox Guide. You can adjust the ratio of In-game sound to other people’s voices and the overall volume. After adjusting it, it sounded great. My friends in party chat said the quality of the audio coming from the mic also sounded great to them. The adapter that plugs into the controller is small and non-obtrusive and features volume up and down buttons, mute button, and a multi-function button. This headset reminds me of the official Xbox Live Wireless headset from the Xbox 360 days which was a great option for back then. I wish Microsoft would offer a more affordable, single ear option like the Recon Air.The battery life seems great and is charged via USB-C which is nice and they include a USB-A to USB-C adapter in the box along with a couple different sizes of earbud tips to help you make it more comfortable if the stock size is too big or too small. All in all, if you are looking for a simple headset to talk to friends within party chat or other players in-game that sounds great, doesn’t break the bank at $40, and at the end of the day doesn’t have you looking like a DJ or airline pilot, I think this a great option!I will update my review in the future about my experiences with this headset.

    Horrible headset
Pros: absolutely none. There’s nothing good to say about this product.Cons: everything. I set this headset up for chat which was the intended use case. Once setup it seemed good in a chat test other than the other person could hear an echo and once in game I couldn’t get the chat to work properly no matter what settings I used. The other players voices would queue up the microphone, my voice wouldn’t trigger the microphone, ambient sounds would trigger the microphone, and in the end of I was able to get it setup so I could talk everyone heard a massive echo and reverb.Final thoughts are Turtle Beach should make a public apology for ever releasing this and pull it from the shelves. Do not buy this piece of junk if you are looking for a quality headset, maybe I received a bad one but there are a lot of bad reviews for this to be a random issue.

    Came fast & as described
I’ve been a gamer for a very long time throughout the entire history of the Xbox consoles the 360 had one of the best headsets a single ear with a boom and it was fantastic it was comfortable to wear rechargeable. When the Xbox One launched everything had to be wired tethered to your controller is part of the problem was claimed that if you wanted the HDMI sound you had to have it wired and it was a pain in the ass to use on a regular basis as I did being tethered to a controller all the time. Now this turtle Beach headset it launch shortly after the X series which it is compatible with along with the one, works just as well as the old 360 did with the addition of higher quality sound. It’s rechargeable it’s light You get used to wearing it very fast. There’s only one issue with this earbud/microphone, and that is if your controller batteries die which we’ve all experienced that you have to shut the microphone off with a long press wait for it to go off and then turn it back on for it to sink with your controller. I would almost give it a perfect score if it wasn’t just for that small tick now if you always change your controller batteries out before you start gaming you’ll never experience the issue but that doesn’t really happen in the real world and when it does happen while you’re in the middle of the game it’s an issue and for that I’m taking away a star. But still highly recommend this item as it is the only one on the market that gives you the freedom from wired to a controller.controller

Cheap but works and then some
So turtle beach makes some I got this because I have kids and I need to be aware of my surroundings. It has decent volume. My only beef with it is that it tends to slide off the ear or move a lot. It is decent volume of decent like sometimes a little bit too sensitive. I was sometimes have connection issues with the controller dongle but for the most part it did work the battery last good while I would never have a die on me in a game session as long as I charge it after playing if you’re playing like a good story based or horror game then you should just have a full headset but for online gaming and you just need to communicate with your teammates it’s OK but not the best but if you want a wireless solution that is cheap I say it fits the bill I just wish it would stay in the ear better I’d rather have foam ear pieces than the rubber. Or for goodness sake, just have both.
