    Works Beautifully
We purchased one of these on sale in the hope it would help moderate the severity of pollen season in upstate NY and the dander generated by two large labradors. It has a nice, clean look and small foot print, which we feel is important. The HEPA filter was shipped inside it in a bag that needs to be removed but doing so was incredibly quick and easy to do. Twist the top a quarter turn and place to one side. Lift out the filter, remove the bag, lower the filter back in using the two tabs provided on it for that purpose, lift the lid back on and quarter twist to close. It takes 2 mins. Then its’ plug-in, turn on and choose “”Auto” or a fan speed using the touch sensitive panel on top. You can control it from your iphone if you’re into that but it certainly isn’t necessary. The first thing we noticed is how quiet it is. Effectively soundless in sleep mode and at fan speed 1. Barely noticeable at fan speed 2, unless you’re right next to it, noticeable at fan speed 3 when you are in the same room as it but not obnoxious. Noticeably louder at fan speed 4 which should be considered a ‘Turbo” mode. Then we noticed the impact of running it – vastly reduced swelling of the eyes and sinuses of those suffering from hay fever and a significant reduction in the doggy smell of our labradors. It works really well.We have taken advantage of the ability to control this by iPhone to set a schedule where it automatically runs in sleep mode (low, continuous fan) from 10pm to 5am. Then at fan speed 2 from 5am to 5:30am, ramping up to fan speed 3 from 5:30am to 8am before switching to auto from 8am to 10pm. Because of the relatively severe allergies suffered by a couple of our family members the P2.5 micron threshold is set to 2 ug per meter cubed and this filter has been able to attain that incredibly low level with that schedule within a few hours of all windows and doors to the outside being closed to the 1800 sq. ft area it services. At this point we have an oasis for our hay fever sufferers to return to each evening and it’s made an incredible difference to their comfort. Do they still take Claritin or Allegra during pollen season? Yes, we’ve found it necessary to deal with the pollen at work and in the garden. Are they doing better than they were before we got this filter? Yes, the continuously swollen and itchy, weeping eyes are gone. The inflamed nasal passages are gone. Their sleep deprivation is gone. Their quality of life has improved dramatically. We had no idea how dramatic an impact adding a quality, appropriately sized HEPA filtration system would have. This unit is rated for something like 3000 sq. ft. We’re using to control air quality in a 1800 sq.f.t open plan area and its doing a great job of that without having to run the fan at high speed for prolonged periods of time. We’ve had this for several weeks now and experienced 1st hand how well it can deal with really terrible air quality when the smoke from the fires in Quebec blew into NY. Opening the door to come into the house with the shopping during the worst of it briefly dropped the air quality from a PM2.5 of 001 to as high as a PM2.5 of 185 within 12 feet of the door. This was then quickly reduced to a PM2.5 of less than 20 in an hour and back to 001 in about 2 hours after the door was closed. The outside airs PM2.5 was apparently North of 300 at this time (sources accuweather and the news), the air was literally a hazy brown like smog and this filter was able to detect it, automatically adjust its fan speed to clear it and maintain perfect air quality in the house.Does it work? Absolutely, quietly and brilliantly.Would we buy this again? Yes, in fact we have so that we can control the air quality for one of our allergy sufferers in another area where they have to spend prolonged periods of time. That one’s been in place for about 3 weeks and has done exactly what we hoped it would do – improve the quality of life at work in a 7000 sq.ft. open plan office area. Now this is well beyond the manufacturers claimed coverage for a unit and it looks like they’re right based on who’s apparently benefiting and who isn’t but here’s the important point. The benefits to the workforce have been so noticeable to management they’re now considering upgrading the offices HVAC system to include HEPA filtration. I think that speaks volumes.

    Absolute value for the price
I’ve been using air purifiers in my house for at least 15 years now. Every room has one, and it has kept me from having to really dust. Being a single father for most of those years, until my kid graduated and moved out a couple of years ago, not having to do a lot of dusting is a high priority for me…All of them are way oversized for what I need, since I have large smart ones in each bedroom that claim the ability to support like 1500 square feet. But I like the smart, wifi connected ones. I also like the ones with the auto sensing feature so they can adjust their own speeds as needed. So I went for features rather than sizing correctly for each room. Thus, when it was time to get another, and I looked around, this seemed to be a good fit without getting models that cost way too much. I have an Air+Health, and an Aeris, both which are like 3 or 4 times as expensive. And neither of which has ever justified that cost in my experience. Especially now that Aeris was bought out by iRobot and the app won’t even work anymore… One more reason to go this route.I got this one a day before I also grabbed a Core 200S for my bathroom – the only one I have that is not capable of auto sensing. This one is dead silent on auto. On speed 1 of 4, it’s a very quiet fan noise, even from 5 feet away, which is how far it is from my dining table chair. 2 is not much worse, and even 3 is more than acceptable. 3 sounds like many other ones I’ve seen would be at a lower setting. 4, of course, is loud, but again, it’s loud compared to itself. Compared to, say, my Aeris, Winix, or my Air+Health purifiers, this one has the least obnoxious sound level on the highest setting.I like the ability to schedule things. I let it run at a higher level at night while I sleep since the noise will not bother me at the total opposite end of the house. And even if I did her it, at that point it would be white noise, which I often sleep to anyway due to obnoxious neighbors. The auto setting seems to be spot on with the other ones I have that cost three or four times as much as this. I really never notice it going up – until I cook burgers on the stove. Doesn’t matter what else I do with ground beef, tacos or anything else, nothing cares. I cook hamburgers? Suddenly the purifiers in my kitchen, dining room, and great room (big open concept here so these three rooms are one large room that’s half of my house) all spin up, show red and are doing their best to cope with whatever it is that my hamburger cooking is doing to my poor indoor air quality. And this one does not lag behind or anything. So you’re not getting a lesser quality detection on this one simply because you are not spending such a ridiculous amount. My only real complaint is that the display is so recessed on the top. So if you’re sitting across the room you have absolutely NO visible sign of status. And if it’s on auto you can’t even tell if it’s turned on or not since it’s so quiet if it isn’t sensing something in the air and cranking up the air filtering. But the app works, unlike the Aeris ones now, and the unit is unobtrusive unless you REALLY make an effort. For the price, you can’t beat it. And for the price, it beats ones that cost several times its cost.Update – I threw out the thousand dollar Aeris since the app stopped working, replaced it with this. Now I’m replacing two Winix AM90’s that worked fine until recently, and are having app issues of their own. One I had going without issues for about 4 years, the other was just pulled out of the box at the same time I ordered my first one of these. So I’ll end up now with my home having 5 of the 7 air purifiers in it all being Levoit…Update – now all but one, the Dyson heater / purifier, is a Levoit. I removed the annoying Air+Health one that made way too much noise even on low, like a bad bearing or something, with a new Everest model of these Levoit ones. After a year or so with all the smaller ones, I have the king of them all in my great room. And it’s night and day to any other, even these other Levoit models. It’s quiet. On high (3, out of 1-3) it’s hardly noticeable. On Turbo, you notice it, but it’s such a low frequency sound that you really just don’t register it at all like the other models on higher speeds. This is the GOAT for me especially as their best model is 20% off right now.

Great unit with great performance and app support.
Really smooth and quiet operation with a well put together app which was very important to me other than actual performance and loudness of the unit. The app clearly displays the PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 currently in the air rather than the generic good, fair, poor. The unit also looks great in the room, and fits well with most decor. It is a bit large but that’s just physics. It needs to be a certain size to achieve the performance it touts.A bit pricey at normal price but it comes on sale from time to time bringing the entry price way down. It remains to be seen how effective buying third party filters will be since their first party filters are quite expensive. But we shall see.All in all a great unit.

    Seriously reduces cat smells!
This is the best air purifier ever! I’ve had so many, and they’ve been fine, but this is the first one with a high enough CADR and a pelleted carbon filter as part of the regular filter. I need that combination in my master bedroom (aka “the cat prison”) to combat litter dust, pet smells and ammonia. This works amazingly well, and it is quiet. It’s currently running at its top fan speed (3), and the noise is not intrusive at all. I have a round tower air purifier from another manufacturer in a spare bedroom, which has a lower CADR and three speeds plus turbo. Third speed is really loud, and turbo sounds like a plane landing! My roommate is allergic, and she can already tell the difference. I had difficulty choosing between this one and the 600S, especially with the price difference, but ultimately chose the Everestair for its removable pre-filter, the pelleted rather than impregnated carbon filter, and much quieter operation. Totally impressed.

    Very good

Very pleased with my 400 air purifier. The first day of using it our house had lost its locked up winter smell. Watching it automatically increase in speed catching the cooking smells is incredible and it really works.Using it now for a couple of weeks its noticeably helped us with our dust & Spring allergies 👍Answering some of the negative reviews. Yes the bottom come will come off easily if it hasn’t been LOCKED in place properly and I can hear an electrical hum on auto/ sleep modes at NIGHT, so I leave it on low speed when sleeping.I recommend it and am now looking at buying a smaller one just for our bathroom.

I’ve been using my Levoit air purifier and it has been fantastic. The device works exactly as advertised and the smart app features make it super convenient to use. Recently, the LED screen on my unit malfunctioned. I reached out to Levoit support and I was beyond impressed with how they handled everything. The team went above and beyond providing frequent updates every few days and resolving the issue quickly. In the end, they replaced the entire unit and the process was smooth from start to finish. Excellent product and outstanding customer service. I couldn’t be happier.

I’ve tried several air purifiers over the years, mostly because I live in an area with seasonal pollen and occasional dust from nearby construction, and I’ve learned that not all purifiers are created equal. The LEVOIT Air Purifier for Large Rooms has quickly become my favourite — it’s powerful, intuitive, and genuinely makes a difference in the air quality around the home.I first set it up in the living room, which is roughly 40m², but the purifier is rated for spaces up to 166m², so I knew it could handle multiple rooms if needed. Setup was effortless — unbox, plug in, and connect to Wi-Fi via the app. I also linked it with Alexa, which is incredibly convenient. I can turn it on or off, adjust fan speed, or check the air quality without moving from the sofa or bed.The CADR of 400m³/h is noticeable. Dust, pollen, and pet dander seem to disappear faster than with any previous purifier I’ve used. The intelligent PM2.5 sensor is a fantastic feature: the purifier adjusts automatically depending on the air quality, so it’s quietly working in the background without me needing to constantly monitor it. I especially appreciate the Auto Mode at night — it’s so quiet that it doesn’t disturb sleep, yet the air feels fresher in the morning.Changing the filter is straightforward, and the app notifies me when it’s time, which makes maintenance simple. The design is sleek and modern, so it fits nicely in a living room or bedroom without being obtrusive. Even after weeks of use, it still feels as efficient and effective as on day one.Overall, the LEVOIT Air Purifier for Large Rooms is highly effective, smart, and convenient. It genuinely improves air quality, reduces allergens, and keeps the environment comfortable for the whole household. If you’re looking for a reliable, powerful, and easy-to-use air purifier for a large space, this is one I’d confidently recommend.
