    Bright lights but not bad
This is a nice size filter that seems to be doing its job although there are a few caveats. It has a very bright light on the top of it that I wish I could dim, and while it does have a night mode that does so, you cannot run the filter at its highest capacity during night mode. My guess is so that it could keep the volume down. So I do just wish that you could change the light setting regardless of night mode or not. It seems to be pretty quiet for an air filter. It is noticeable but not too distracting, and a night mode it seems fine. It is not the strongest air filter has I still had a little bit of sneezing but perhaps I just haven’t run it long enough at the time.Overall and not too disappointed with this filter as it is an affordable and portable version that is good for small rooms, apartments, and other smaller spaces.

This is truly a blessing! HEPA Filtration from a Worldwide Leader in HVAC Equipment!
This air purifier rocks! I needed a replacement for my bedroom after a cheap one left me hunting for impossible to find filters. When this Honeywell popped up in my feed, I bought it instantly. Setup couldn’t be easier, no tools required. Just open the box, lift the purifier out (all parts are inside), press the two side buttons, and lift off the top. Inside, you’ll find a brand-new HEPA filter still wrapped in plastic (the wrapper even has the reorder info!), plus the power cord tucked neatly in the sidewall. Remove the plastic, drop the filter back in (no specific orientation needed or mentioned in the manual), plug it in, and you’re done. The unit is compact and lightweight, perfect for travel if you want. Filters are high quality, rated to last 9 to 12 months, and replacements are only $30 (as of this writing).Once powered on, it actively cleans the air and lets you choose your filtration level. I keep mine in Auto mode which senses room air quality and adjusts the fan speed on its own. I love that it’s “smart” without being another Wi-Fi device cluttering my network or being the target for botnets. One small quality-of-life gripe: if power flickers, the unit defaults to Off and stays off until you manually restart it. Not a dealbreaker, I just leave it in Auto and sleep through the night. Operation is whisper-quiet, and the indicator lights are dim enough not to bother anyone.Air-quality feedback is clear: a red ring topside means poor air, and the fan ramps to high for about 90 seconds before settling back. Living on the East Coast with decent baseline air, I haven’t stressed it with wildfire smoke, but I’ve only sneezed once since setup, so it’s clearly working. Looks aren’t an eyesore either, and it’s made by Honeywell, a global name I trust for long-term filter availability. Plus, a 5-year warranty gives extra peace of mind. One wish: let Auto mode stay active in Sleep mode. Right now, Sleep drops to the lowest fan speed and kills the lights (handy), but it also disables air-quality sensing. I get why, true customization might require an app, but it’s a missed chance to filter aggressively while keeping the room dark and quiet. Still, for reliable, no-fuss air cleaning in the bedroom, this Honeywell nails it. I guess I kind of understand the decision since that would also ramp the fans up but I sleep through the night just fine with mine running! I can also turn on the 8 hour timer before I lay down and it turns itself off as I ready myself for the day ahead.

Automatically monitors air quality & is ideal for bedrooms due to low sound output.
This item is an air purifier that continuosly monitors the room air quailty and adjusts its fan speed automatically. It has 3 stage fitration – a prefilter, activated charcoal filter, and the final one being HEPA (high efficiency particular air) filtration. The activated charcoal filter is present to assist in removal of odors, and the filter system can remove 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size or larger. Those can include dust and allergens. Its prefilter removes larger particles such as pet hair. This system has energy star certification and thus uses little electricity and also certification from AHAM (Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers) which verified it can circulate and filter room air up to 4.8x per hour in 110 sq. ft. and 1x per hour in rooms up to 530 sq. ft.It is very quiet for use in bedrooms and nurseries with a sound level as low as 20.81 decibels. There are 3 led colors that let you know the air quality with respect to volatile organic hydrocarbons. When it is time to change its filter, it has an indicator to let you know. You can also set a run timer for 2, 4, or 8 hours. I could not find the particle size the 99.97% removal rate related to in the listing text, but it was in a listing picture in small print. When I tested it, the yellow light came on indicating lower air quality, but it rapidly settled down to green. I can confirm it is very quiet at its lowest fan speed. At 3 feet away, I can not tell it is running from the sound. At speeds 2 and 3, you know it is running. Note there are 4 speed setting which are low, medium, high, and low automatic mode. I included pictures of the top in automatic mode, sleep mode, the green ring, and the yellowish ring it first displayed. This is now my favorite air purifier of the three I own.
