    got this cfexpress card for my sony camera about three weeks ago and its handling everything i throw at it! been using it heavily shooting both photos and video for client work and havent hit any slowdowns or buffering issues. transfers are super quick when i plug into my computer – dumps a full days worth of shooting in just a few minutes. really nice not having to wait between shots even when shooting fast action stuff. few things to watch out for tho – definitely need the right card reader to get those fast transfer speeds (my old one wouldnt work) and its a bit pricey compared to regular sd cards but worth it for the performance. tested it shooting continuous bursts at my kids soccer games and it kept up no problem. card runs a little warm after heavy use but nothing concerning. makes workflow way smoother not having to swap cards all the time thanks to the big storage space. reader compatibility is important – double checked my camera manual before buying to make sure it would work. just remember its type a specific so wont fit in type b slots and maybe grab a proper card reader if you dont already have one cause those transfer speeds make a big difference when youre moving lots of files.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

    I would take this over an SD in a heartbeat.The construction is super solid and does not feel flimsy at all. Dropping this would be the least of my worries.As far as performance goes, I’m very impressed. I run an a7 IV so it’s not the highest frame rate but I have had zero problems with buffering no matter the settings. No problems with video either – this thing is well worth it in my opinion.

    very small , not sure how long it’ll last.
    Seems to work okay for an off brand. I can’t test the speeds of it, and I can’t tell if the videos I’m getting are 4k. I don’t have anything that does 8k yet. The size is small, so you can’t get a lot of video on it. Turns out video takes up a ton more space than still photos. I’ll still stick to name brand for anything important.

    When this arrived, it looks a bit different than what I had purchased with my camera but when I attempted to put it inside of the slot where my memory card goes, it went right in. Even when I tested to see if it would come out, again, came out without getting stuck. I took several pictures and when I checked the card, all of my pictures were on this card. I was even able to do a very long video and the amount of space that this memory card has, I can do way more videos and pictures and still have so much space left over. I was even able to upload everything on to my work computer. This memory card has so much storage and space, I can seriously have so many things on it and not worry about not having enough space.

    I ordered this type A CFexpress card along with a type B, I don’t have a camera that takes these but I wanted them to use for backups and they both have exceeded my expectations for speed.On opening, these cards have a standard interface and look to be made to a good standard for longevity. On testing using my MacBook adapter that takes type A and type B cards the listed speeds seem to be correct although I don’t actually have a program to measure it properly. I can backup a 4K movie in seconds as opposed to minutes which is brilliant when in a rush to get things completed and the cards don’t even get overly hot when in use.Overall, if you need like me, a lightweight backup system or if you have a camera that takes these cards then you really won’t go wrong, these are just superb.Recommended.

    This review is for a CHIPFANCIER Cfexpress Type A 256GB memory card. It arrived in retail packaging.This card is designed for devices that require a Type A CFexpress card. It is not compatible with any other type. So bear that in mind before purchasing. I made this mistake when ordering, I had no devices compatible with it.After purchasing a card reader that reads this card, I ran CrystalDiskMark with it connected over USB C. The results returned were blisteringly fast for a memory card. They still fell short of the 1750MB/s advertised speed, by about half. You can see the full results on the attached image. Maybe this is a limitation of the card reader I have, but USB C should be able to support the full speed. Maybe it will perform at the full speed in supported devices, but as I don’t have one to test this in, I can only go by the results I have, and this does not match the advertised speeds.The price is also a big ouch. While this is a lot cheaper than the Sony branded cards, you can get other brands cheaper. I have no real experience with CFExpress cards though. Still, as it is, this is a very good and fast card with speeds of an SSD drive.

    Slotted the CHIPFANCIER 256 GB CFexpress Type A card into my Sony A7S III and the camera honestly looked as though it could breathe again. With 256 GB on tap and a manufacturer claim of 1,750 MB/s for both reading and writing, plus a sustained 1,500 MB/s, filming 4K at 120p of the children racing the dog stays smooth and stutter-free.I dragged a single 50 GB clip across to the PC through a proper Type A reader and it landed in roughly thirty seconds, which is still a little slower than my eight-year-old’s blitz chess, but streets ahead of the older cards I used. The metal shell feels properly sturdy and the leaflet says it will survive from minus forty to seventy degrees Celsius, a blessing when British weather flips from Arctic to Sahara between Friday and Monday.A couple of snags remain. Those headline speeds only appear if you use a dedicated CFexpress Type A reader, the card grows a touch warm during prolonged 8K takes, and anyone shooting on a non-Sony body will need to shop elsewhere.Even so, the build inspires confidence, the performance borders on ridiculous, and 256 GB feels like the sweet spot before file management turns into a second job. If dependable speed matters more to you than the hit to your bank balance, this little slab of metal earns its place in your kit bag.

    This is a super fast, high capacity cf express card at a reasonable price which hopefully stands the test of time reliability wise.Do note that it is a type A and a such will have limited compatibility, it is not as generic as sd/micro sd so ensure you double check compatibility before purchasing.

The specification quotes 1,750 MB/s for both reads and writes, and in real life transfers to my computer hover just under that when I use a modern USB-C reader.The casing feels as solid as a pound coin. It has survived drizzle on the touchline, a drop onto concrete, and a stint in a dusty rucksack with no sign of sulking. The manufacturer claims resistance to magnetism and temperatures spanning from penguin cold to camel hot, and after a particularly frosty dawn shoot I am inclined to believe them.Capacity at 256 GB keeps me going through a weekend wedding without constant card swaps, although anyone filming hours of 8K will probably want a second card in the bag. After extended takes it does warm up enough to be noticeable when you eject it, yet not so much that I worry about the electronics.A quick caution, it only fits cameras and readers with a CFexpress Type A slot, so if you are still using SD or XQD you will need to budget for new kit. Pair it with a recent reader otherwise those lofty transfer figures remain theoretical.In short, the card is fast, rugged, and spacious enough for most shoots.
