    I’ve been using my Bissel air purifier for about 3-4 years in the room in which my two rescue pigeons live. They generate a ton of floating dust, feathers, etc. and the air purifier has absolutely saved the rest of my house from being contaminated. I order these replacement filters on a monthly basis via Subscribe and Save. I believe if I wasn’t using the purifier in my bird room, I wouldn’t need to change the filter as often. (Though it IS inportant to replace the filters regularly to keep your air purifier going strong!) These things really last and are very durable. My favorite thing about these filters is that the dust particles cling to the filter and stay put, so that when you pull them out to replace them, you don’t have dust and debris flying off of the filters. To be perfectly honest, I typically don’t buy the name brand filters for the other models of air purifier I use throughout the house, as the generic versions are much more affordable and work fine. The Bissell replacement filters, however, are price reasonably enough that I don’t need to skimp on quality.

    Nice for additional filtration in the bedroom
    It’s not a HEPA filter, and I already have one in my bedroom. I set this on a night stand on the opposite corner of the room from where the HEPA filter is and set up an auto-purchase on replacement elements. When the replacement element arrived, I was surprised at how much dust the old filter had collected!It does have an extremely quiet fan mode, and that’s where I leave it all the time. I cut a small piece of cardboard to place over the small area on the control panel that stays lit even in sleep mode. So this unit does not disturb my sleep at all. And it helps keep my room cleaner so that I actually sleep better. Even HEPA filters don’t take out all the dust; in addition to one in my bedroom there is a huge one in the living room, one in my office, one in the dining room, and one in the laundry room. Plus I use a 3M Filtrete 1000 (high MERV equivalent) on my furnace, and use a high-end vacuum cleaner with its own HEPA filters. Another air filter never hurts, as this one so aptly proved.

    So easy I changed the filter with one hand in the video above. The Bissell MyAir purifier ( so quiet on low you can’t hear it, ) replacement filter from Bissell is original manufactured replacements and although they may be generic versions, I prefer to go with what I know, and so should you.

    This an authentic Bissell filter and priced much lower than even ordering direct from Bissell. They last quite a long time (3 months or so) in fairly clean, odour free environments and a bit less in kitchens or for my birds’ room clearing dust. This will remove fish odours in less than 15 minutes. The combination of HEPA and carbon makes it an excellent filtration system for a fairly low cost.

    If it wasn’t for this filter I would have tossed my bissell. This filter fits perfectly and is cost effective and as a result it’s my go to, especially since OEM is perpetually OOS.
