    Works Great for Pet Hair and Quick Cleanups
    Love this little vacuum! I mainly use it for cat hair around room edges and other surfaces, and it works great. It’s lightweight, powerful for its size, and super easy to clean after use.     I recommend this Black & Decker Cordless Handheld Vacuum
    I didn’t know I needed one until I saw my sister using hers. I have hung it on the wall near the kitchen so I can grab it quickly. It is very easy to use. I thought it might be awkward to use because of its shape but it sure isn’t. The suction is great and the filter works well. So happy to not have to drag out the vacuum. I would recommend this as a great cordless handheld vacuum.

    PROS: Very reasonable price. Has a good strong battery that lasts a long time with a strong suction (which is hard to find nowadays) that can quickly suck up fine dust, hair, and small bits with no problem. Not heavy, compact, and fast. CONS: Charging to full battery can take a long time. Can be hard to impossible to clean dirt and debris that gets stuck around the inner suction port. From previous buys, this item will last between 1 to 2 years of routine use before it starts having problems with the motor. Generally not fixable. Also it is a bit loud if you need to vacuum a large area or a difficult spot, but then again that is the same for all the rest of the vacuums at this price point, unless you spend a whole lot more. Would still recommend, as at least you can buy extra filters on Amazon for this model! Some of the others are very hard to find or just don’t match despite what listings might say.

    Get into tight places!
    Works great I can get behind my chairs in between the chairs and when I’m cleaning house and just tight places where I would have to get a broom in there and it cleans up messes really nice and yeah I like it I’d buy it again the price was right.

    Really powerful, battery isn’t the best but it works fine if you charge it up often or leave it on the base charging. Powerful enough to lift crumbs and dust from carpets and such. Great for a dorm or bedroom

    No issues, was easy to put assemble. Seems to clean up everything,not sure if the motor is the strongest but it gets crumbs up well. I actually use it to clean my guinea pig cage up and for that application it works great for. Battery life is decent.

    No indicator light when charging, no accessory holder, makes for a subpar vaccuum
    I only give 3 stars for a lack of a charging indicator light. With all we know about the dangers of overcharging batteries it seems reckless to have not included on. Of course, the flip side of that is if we plug it in to charge it after each use the battery will develop a short memory and the life of the battery will be decreased. This vacuum does suck, in a good way but nowhere to store the accessories on the unit or the wall mount, ensures they will get lost. All in all I wouldn’t buy it again.

    Not what I expected – good and bad
    First, let me say I’ve been wanting a handheld for a long time. It was an absolute pain using my upright to vacuum all the stairs! Which means the stairs were filthy! 🙂 I was SO excited to get this!Then I received it. And let me tell you, first impressions, I had scheduled a return. Make sure you understand battery powered handhelds BEFORE you buy this and write a crappy review!I have a 3600 sq ft home. I followed the directions; charged for 16 hours, and then let it run all the way out, which only took a few minutes. Ok fine – first charge….I get it. Back on the charger all that afternoon, probably 6 hours or so. My almost 4 year old granddaughter wanted to “help” clean for Christmas; this vacuum is light enough for her to use and – at that age – FUN! So I let her get under the couch and in the kitchen under the cupboards. She kept turning it off and asking, “ok! What next?” And it lasted maybe 5 or 6 minutes. Well, maybe it was the on-and-off-again that killed it. Back on the charger. I tried it the next morning, and it lasted a few minutes. That’s it – it’s going back. I started a return.After it was charging for probably 20 hours – really folks, I didn’t have a stop watch – I decided to give it the old college try and use it again. I got the edging done, the basement stairs, and a bit onto my area rug where I work out before it died. Could it be?? I started doing research on hand helds – Shark, Bissell, Black + Decker – you name it. Guess what?? I didn’t find a SINGLE HANDHELD that boasted lasting 20 minutes; even the expensive $80-$100 handhelds lasted only 15 minutes.I’m not sure what my expectations were but I had hoped to edge everything and be able to vacuum the couch, my pupper’s couch, stairs … all in one swoop. Maybe that’ll be possible after i get it good and then only have to sweep over it. But the fact of the matter is, whether you spend $35 or $95, you have about 15 minutes of good suction power before they shut off.Ok that’s my story and here’s my review!Pros: It is great for suction power. It gets the people hair and the pupper’s hair very well (my poor husband – there are 4 female humans and 1 female dog in this house; he is the only male and does not shed like the rest of us). The attachments are wonderful! It is very easy to clean: just pop the filter out, shake, and back in. Rinsing it in water and letting it dry is a breeze as well, plus it saves money on buying new filters (i don’t know if this is standard in these hand-helds). I like that it has a little wall piece where you can lock in and store the vacuum off the floor/shelf.Cons: Really, B+D, you could have put a little LED for charging. It would have cost 50 cents and you could have charged $5 more for it. I really want to throw charged battery life in here, but I’ve already covered it and it’s redundant. Plastic. I hate plastic parts. The wall piece is plastic and I’m sure will end up breaking. It’s not badly designed, but it’s plastic!Overall: After educating myself on dustbusters/handheld vacuums, this is a great little vacuum, and especially for the price. If anything is going to change, it really needs to be a charging LED is installed. A battery life indicator would be nice, but since it only lasts 15 minutes, that maybe overkill. I would recommend this and now that I’m more knowlegable about these products, am excited to use it more!

    I fell for this product based on other positive UK reviews but it does not come with a UK comptible plug and then Amazon expected me to mail it back to Indianapolis! I fought my corner and got a refund but its left me with a new vacuum to dispose of which is not an eco solution and I still have to purchase an item that actually works in this country. Why oh why do Amazon UK even stock this item in their store knowing full well it is not an item that can be used unless you are planning to take a hand vac on holiday to the States with you…..

    Had the vacuum for a few days now, and it’s exactly what I needed! Live with my girlfriend in a ~900sqft 1bed apt, and we were looking for something to spotclean occasionally that’s not our monstrous plug-in. Our dream is a Dyson, but definitely overkill in price right now. So we decided to give this B&D cordless a shot, and for $40CAD, it’s PERFECT for our small apartment.USE CASELove using this after we cook a big meal, and every couple of days on the bathroom where hairs get everywhere… and just dusty places in general! Unless you have a 400sqft studio, this will not be sufficient for a comprehensive clean of your house, but great for getting those couch crumbs and just errant dust and whatever. It makes a huge difference!SUCTION & BATTERYHaven’t noticed anything that it can’t do, but we don’t make big messes and don’t have pets. Hair, crumbs, and dust goes right in. The vacuum is triggered by a button on your thumb, so you can be pretty efficient with battery usage—there’s no noticeable “start-up lag”, stuff pretty much comes in right when you press the button. I did a session yesterday going pretty hard for about 10 minutes, and didn’t notice a dropoff.EMPTYING & FILTERThe filter is kind of a pain to clean. All the stuff clumps on the filter and you have to remove it by hand at minimum every other time you do a serious vacuum. You can’t just shake it off. The filter is re-washable with soap and hot water, and they say to replace it every 6-9 months.SPACE/STORAGEWe rent our apt, so we’re being hesitant right now about wall-mounting, but it’s fine just setting it horizontally on the ground as well to charge. There’s no “plug in” charge option—you have to use the dock, which is a little tricky at first but pretty stable even lying flat.VALUEAt time of purchase this was $40 without coupons, and it’s starting to seem like a huge deal compared to everything else which is either from an unproven Chinese brand. Only question is longevity, but if this thing lasts at least a year with decent suction, everything else will be a bonus. Thanks to B&D for making such an affordable and useful product!
