Introducing the Brio SIMPL Reverse Osmosis Tankless Water Filter System: A Revolutionary Solution for Clean Drinking Water

In today’s world, access to clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental human right. However, with the increasing levels of water pollution and contamination, it’s becoming increasingly challenging to find a reliable source of pure water. This is where the Brio SIMPL Reverse Osmosis Tankless Water Filter System comes in – a game-changing solution that provides unparalleled water purification capabilities without the need for a bulky tank.

What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove impurities and contaminants from water. This process involves applying pressure to force water through the membrane, which has tiny pores that block impurities and allow clean water to pass through. The result is water that is up to 99% free from contaminants, including heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and other pollutants.

The Brio SIMPL Advantage

nice system, clean, small and simple, but some things you should know about installation
This is a nice system, tankless, small enough for a countertop and fits under (my) upper cabinets. It comes with a nice brushed stainless faucet and all of the necessary hardware and hoses (although I needed longer ones, see below). It uses 120V power because it has a built in pump, which is how it can provide water at a fast rate without needing to store water in a tank. I like the system because it is way less bulky than the RO system I was replacing, and filter changes will be easier. I like the lights to alert me when the filters need changing as well. There are some caveats you need to know about though.First, this does use a pump so it is noisy. You can hear the pump running, and it’s about as loud as a normal fridge when it is running. Second, you might need longer hoses if you have to get creative about placement. Placement is something to consider before buying because of the power requirements, which is the third and major caveat. Many sinks may not have power under the sink that is not switched for the garbage disposal. If your plug is switched under your sink with a dedicated wall switch, or you don’t have a plug under your sink, then you might need to install this somewhere else. If that is the case, the supplied hoses will likely not be long enough. They are sized for an under sink install and won’t reach very far. If you have an air switch for your garbage disposal you could just use the other plug, but….The instructions call for a dedicated circuit. I feel that is overkill but those are the requirements, likely due to the amperage rating of the pump in the filter system. Combined with the amps a garbage disposal draws, you could overtax your circuit existing circuit. So, you might need to hire an electrician to install a dedicated circuit under the sink (which is ideal due to hose routing), or someplace else near the sink. This will be expensive and maybe impossible if you don’t have access to run a dedicated line through a basement or attic access. If you install on the countertop and dedicate an existing circuit for it, you will then need to figure out how to route three hoses to under the sink. One is the filtered water line to the faucet, one is the cold water inlet line, and one is the drain line. You will also need to drill a 1″ hole for the faucet (although slightly smaller hole than 1″ is actually big enough). If you have a granite, marble, cultured or other hard surface countertop, I highly recommend hiring someone to drill that for you because you can easily chip it. I drilled the hole in my metal drop in sink myself, and that was easy enough.Overall, this is not a plug and play system, so make sure you’ve got all the requirements met regarding electrical, or are willing to pay for the circuit to be run. If you don’t and don’t want to spend a bunch more money on electrician’s services, then I’d stick with a traditional tanked RO system that doesn’t need power. If you do have the dedicated circuit, then you’ll love this system.

    Easy to install ROWPU
I selected this reverse osmosis unit as it was designed for easy maintenance. In previous houses, I’d had undersink units that required tools and fussy O-ring installs that resulted in either leaks or profanity, At the very least, you had to take all the soaps, cleaners, etc that accumulates under the sink out to get to the unit.Installation:My install was pretty straightforward. I had to run an outlet into the sink base as both my dishwasher and disposal are hardwired. I simply tapped a GFCI outlet and installed an old-work box via romex. If you aren’t comfortable with electrical DIY, this may be something that you’d have to pay an electrician to do. The plumbing portions was particular easy to handle: there’s a tee tap that goes inline with your cold water line and compression fit plastic tubing. The drain line required drilling of the drain of the non-disposal side of the sink but clear directions, templates, and guides were provided. The unit itself is relatively compact but takes up a fair amount of room under the sink. The length is such that the plumbing will all fit with the unit perpendicular to the door. One minor quibble was the the faucet had a loose/semi-extruded o-ring at the base of the spout. I was able to push it back into place with a wooden popsicle stick (to avoid cutting the O-ring) and have experienced no leaks or recurrence of this issue. I think that o-ring simply provides a bit of friction for the rotation of the spout rather than a sealing surface. The spout itself is set-once and forget.Performance:My water utility is dealing with rapid population growth in the area and we occasionally have “brown water” due to lines being added or rerouted. It’s safe to drink but seeing a rust plume emerge from the sink can be bothersome. This filter/ROWPU does a very good job of removing metallic and dirt tastes from the water. The filters themselves are accessible and simply quarter-turn bayonet lock. I haven’t had to change the filters in the last three months but so far, it’s done yeoman work in making sure our drinking and cooking water is clean. It is audible when in use and continues to make a bit of noise after shutoff as it exhausts the waste water, but it isn’t obnoxious and stops within a few seconds. Think of it as desk fan levels of noise instead of garbage disposal levels of noise.ValueI think at under $400 for a complete unit with excellent installation instructions, It’s a fair value. The cost of cartridge consumables may add up with time but the robust plastic construction give me confidence that this isn’t a “trash it when filters are exhausted” unit.

Has Made My Tap Water Delicious
This Brio SIMPL Reverse Osmosis water purifier is my favorite out of the multiples we’ve purchased and tried. Living in a large city in the Southwest, water is a serious struggle – especially fresh water. We ordered this water purifier and love that we attach it under the sink and poof! Have delicious, purified water available whenever we want it.Installation wasn’t too bad, it took the two of us about 30 minutes to get it set up, and it’s simply amazing. I’d read that reverse osmosis is the best way to purify water, and this water truly tastes fantastic.Works beautifully, we don’t really hear it running under our sink, and compared to purchasing water from a company, this is the best investment for us!

    Great filtration system
We like the Brio SIMPL 4-Stage Tankless Water Filtration System, it delivers crisp, clean water that taste great. I am all about the taste of water and only one brand of bottled water I enjoy drinking so taste of my water is important. The quality it delivers is top-notch with NSF-certified stages that zap 99.99% of contaminants like lead and bacteria. The directions are detailed. However installing it is not so easy, taking a few hours of plumbing work. The system works great for on-demand pure water. I feel this product is a good value for the purity, and a great addition to our other sources of filteringour drinking water. It comes with the filters, faucet, tubing, and everything you need. We drink alot alot of water and this is a great investment for your health. My adult child come over to get water from my house.
