    Good price for this filter. I like this MPR 1000 filter because it’s not so dense that it stresses my furnace, yet does collect a lot of dust and pollen. It’s dry where I live and we have a lot of dust in the air, so I change the filter every 6-8 weeks instead of every 3 months.

    I have tried less expensive filters but they don’t seem to last as long as do as good as job as these Filtrete filters. Yes, they’re a little more expensive, but with a decent MERV rating you know that you are breathing air that has had a lot of unwanted particles filtered out of it. I have never had a problem with air flow being restricted to my HVAC system with these filters. Filtrete does have an app that can remind you to change the filter but I find setting a reminder on my phone is just as effective without downloading another app.
