    Amazon saved the day, AGAIN.
OEM valve for my GE washer. Bag does say “renewal” like a previous reviewer posted, but it is new and not a repaired or refurbished part.My washer had been acting up lately, I noticed that the clothes would be soaked as if the washer hadn’t drained all the water out in the spin cycle. So I would have to do a six minute spin to drain off the excess water. Well this last week I realized that it was because the fill valve was leaking and if I would let the wash sit for awhile, water would slowly fill up and soak the clothes if I didn’t pull them out right away. This didn’t happen all the time, but this last week the valve wouldn’t open to let the wash rinse the detergent out.Looked up my washer number, which is 6 years old, BTW, and I am very happy with it. Found the WH13xxX10037 valve was the valve for it. Ordered it Sunday morning, and it said my order would be here on Tuesday, It arrived on Monday (BONUS)!Got home, mustered up the energy to do the job. Decided to time myself and the job took me 25 minutes to complete. Of course I wasted 5 minutes looking for tools that I needed. A 1/4 nutdriver (you can use a ratchet if like), pliers to take off the hoses from the valve. Then there was the extra time for picture taking.First thing I did was to slide the washer from the wall and unplug it. Turned the water off. Undid the water hoses, took the nutdriver and removed the 8 sheet metal screws holding the control panel to the washer. Flipped the control down, unplugged the electrical connectors to the solenoids, unscrewed the 2 black screws holding the valve to the washer. Squeezed the green hose clamp on the fill line to the washer. (This was the hardest part of the job, The hose didn’t want to come off the valve. I found sliding the clamp down the line past the valve and holding the hose while twisting and pulling the valve from the hose finally worked for me) Hose pliers would have probably come in handy for this part, but I didn’t want to go to the garage to find one.Installing the valve, I basically reversed my order of disassembly. Hose, screws, connectors, hot/cold hoses, turned water on, leak checked, control panel (careful not to pinch any wires), screws, plugged in, turned on, OPS checked, cold and hot worked like they should, pushed washer back.Hope this is helpful to some of you out there.

    GREAT REPLACEMENT! GREAT PRICE!
Ordered this part for my GE washer after the original cracked somehow and was spraying water everywhere. The tub also never reached it’s automatic fill cut off so it would just keep running and tub would overflow. Had this part about a week and washer is working GREAT! Quick and easy repair. The model number search was nice to ensure this was the right part.

    Works great
Our washer was leaking at the valve into the tub so I bought this to replace it. Installation was straightforward and it works fine. Has lasted several years now and water flow is comparable to original.

  6. Piglet Cutter CMGWC

    Easy OEM replacement.
My washer was leaking water into the washer tub when turned off, after doing some research I found that it had to be this valve was no longer closing properly so I ordered a new one. When the new valve arrived I grabbed my pliers and nut driver and went to work. First shut off the water and remove both hoses. Pull out the washer from the wall. Unplug the power cord from the wall. Use your nut driver and remove the six screws on the rear of the operations panel. Slide the operations panel to the left, as your standing behind the unit, the front of the operations panel will now be free to move around. Now remove the wires that go to the valve. Using your nut driver remove the two screws that mount the valve to the unit. Now that the valve is free to move around, use pliers to squeeze the clamp holding the water outlet hose and remove. Now install the new valve. First put the water outlet hose on and return the clamp to it original position using pliers to squeeze the clamp. Install mounting screws in the valve mounts. Reinstall the wires onto the correct locations. Reinstall the front operations panel by inserting into the slots and push to your right ( as you stand behind the unit). Reinstall the six screws using the nut driver into the rear operations panel. Reinstall the hoses. Turn on the water and check for leaks before returning the washer to its original location. Plug it in. Now its repaired. This sounds like a lot at work but I assure you it is easy enough for most people to do. I completed this in about 20 minutes total.Items needed: Nut Driver, Pliers.

  7. Amory Collvins

    Easy to install.
    It fixed my washing machine.

  8. MyHobby

Not for sure if this helped….
We wanted to fix the problem with washer of the water starting and stopping during the fill cycle. We looked it up on you tube and it said this is all we needed. They were very specific that there was a different part that may be needed instead. But only if your machine was doing a little more than ours was. We ordered this at a great price and it was prime. We followed the instructions and we tested the washer without any clothes. It worked perfectly!!! We drained the washer and ran it again to make sure. It worked like new on hot and cold. Then we put the washer back in its place and filled it with clothes. The washer starting spitting and stopping the water flow just as it was before. It seems maybe we have a different problem as this sputtering only happens on the hot cycle now. It was worth the try.
