    WM4270HWA
On my LG front load washer, WM4270HWA, the drain pump/motor started making a very loud buzzing noise during the drain cycle. Rather than wait for it to go completely bad, I ordered this part and installed it. With maybe 15 loads run since replacing the part, there have been no problems and the buzzing noise is gone. I looked at many YouTube videos on how to replace this part. Many videos give the same information, but once in a while there was a good suggestion that was not covered in other videos. This washer has a second pump on the right side of the assembly for the sprayers that are located in the rubber door seal housing. This part has both pumps/motors. I hope by replacing both, I won’t have to go inside the unit to do a repair for a long time. It wasn’t a repair fun, but it was doable. It would have been cheaper to just replace the drain pump/motor, but I really didn’t want to go back into the unit anytime soon.I learned the following:My washer has three bolts that hold this assembly to the washer. The bolts thread into a plastic plate. Lightly tightening the bolts are all that I would do next time since the metal bolt threads can easily strip the plastic. Also, I bought the LG spring extender tool to replace the band that holds the door seal in place. Unfortunately, it arrived after I finished the job. With an assistant, I was barely able to get the band/spring back on. I’ll use the tool next time! I took lots of pictures as I went for reference during re-assembly.At first, the door seal didn’t go on the washer opening the way that I expected it to, but I kept trying. I found that part of the seal needs to go into the metal lip around the front panel opening, while the outer edge of the seal rests against the front panel. This is difficult to explain. I’m glad that I took a close up picture of the band resting on top of the seal.Pictures (prior to disconnection) of the how the pump motors were wired came in very handy.I have no idea why the original drain pump failed. There were no clogs, and no obvious mechanical issues. The original plastic assembly was black. The new assembly is gray. I selected the assembly that was sold and shipped from Amazon.

Fixed the OE error code with this oem LG part
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Went with this product because it was a genuine oem lg product. It was a direct replacement for my machine and was pretty straight forward on the install if you are fairly handy (YouTube helps a lot). My machine is over 10 years old and now is working like new again. If you are having problems with the machine not draining and you are getting the OE code then this is likely the part you’ll need.

    Easy to install.
Only three screws to install. You can replace yourself with few tools and a YouTube video. If you need to replace your damage drain pump due to normal wear, spend a little more and replace it with this whole assembly. The other pump in the assembly will probably fail soon anyway. My machine OEM pump lasted about 10 years, hopefully this one will last more.

Front loader stopped pumping out the water. Had to look up the part number else were, but found it here with quick shipping to the boonies. It is relatively easy to change, worst part was getting the door seal clip back on.
