    Camping tool
Easy to use for clean, drinking water

  2. Steve R

    Excellent filtering
This is my 2nd MSR Miniworks filter. The first took an unusually hard hit (cutting cord on bear line dropping pack 50′) which broke the ceramic element. However, the housing, pump, and everything else remained 100% intact. This filters water so well, you’ll hate drinking most of the bottled waters out there. …waters – water, yeah right…. Nothing better than mountain springs.Nothing gets through, and what can will be killed with treatment. Highly recommend for any Backcountry hike or other situation.

    A MUST HAVE tool.
Everyone should have this. Not only campers, hikers or hunters. This should be in every disaster kit in people’s homes. Very easy to use. Extremely high quality. One thing I do recommend that you do before using it for the first time is to wash off the filter with clean water and let the filter air dry before you use it.

    Durable, Dependable, Clean Water
Ive owned this for 10 years, and have used if all over the country. Screws directly onto my nalgene bottle. The water is clean and maintanence is minimal to keep the filter working. I recently purchased a second MSR and a replacement filter for my original. This is a STRONG recommend.

  6. Amazon Customer

    Great, fast, not so tiring
Very convenient, pretty fast, not so tiring. Because I had the best water filter, I kept getting relegated to the task.

  7. Piercemr

    Worked well but slow
The filter seems to work great, but it’s slow. Not so bad if you’re filling a 32 oz nalgene. I tried filling a 6l bag, and it took a while. Definitely not ideal. I realize pumps are going to be limited, and while I’m happy with this as a replacement, definitely want to make sure you plan for time of doing a large volume of water.

  8. car2

    Keep it clean
It delivered good water – I didn’t get sick! 🙂

  9. josiah hinds

I’ve used this 8-10 times solo and in group settings and not one time have anyone become ill that’s really huge for me, it’s a product you can literally trust with your life, I used to treat the water after filtering it, but I was informed I don’t need too so ever since I haven’t done that and I haven’t been sick so a huge testament to MSR

Bought this for my son’s backpacking trips. He hasn’t had a chance to use his yet but he has used them before with his Cadet trips and loves it, that’s why I bought this one specifically.

I consider this a necessary item for travelling especially in an emergency. I’ve not tried it yet but it came HIGHLY recommended by a good friend who uses it in their daily lifestyle while they’re travelling off grid on horseback.
