    Great alternative to bedding for litter pans!!!!
    Ok, here is the thing. I was desperate after moving our indoor rabbit cage into our daughters room to manage the smell in such a small area. In the living room area, this never was a problem; however, we added a rescue dog to our family and he was quite focused on the rabbit. For everyone’s safety we relocated her to a secure room. (FYI – this is really no longer an issue as he has just accepted she exits and ignores her 100% but the girl has decided having her in her room is full of awesome so she is remaining in her new location)We have historically always used paper bedding and really never had an issue with smelliness as long as the cage was cleaned every couple of days. (Ours does use a litter pan – the small cat kind) However, in the smaller room it was NOT working. It was smelly even cleaning every day. I decided to try these pellets after reading a blog post about alternatives for indoor rabbits.OMG. These things are 100% awesome. They do NOT smell when they get wet, absorb very very well, are so easy to clean and so much cleaner in general. We started buying ours at the local feed store in, but I really was happy with this brand.IF you are having issues with smell or your bun is kicking her bedding everywhere…I would certainly give this a try. Make sure and use only a little over a layer, as they absorb and do not work the same way as the bedding material. Everyone is happy we made this change and there is not one negative thing I can find after using this product for 4 months now.

    Curbs smell and mess for guinea pigs
    I tried other cage options for guinea pigs like paper bedding and fleece liners, but even with frequent changing, the urine smell was a lot. If you have guinea pigs, you know what I’m talking about.Thank goodness for Mr. Gore’s internet because someone recommended wood pellets under a layer of fleece. Bingo! What an improvement. I can sweep the doots off the fleece and the urine soaks past into the pellets, which absorb it, including the odor.The only negative is brushing persistent pellets off the back of the fleece when I’m changing it out so I don’t waste it. Once I’ve got the fleece out, I scoop out any clumped patches and fluff the rest. A bag of these babies lasts a long time. I got the fleece as blankets and fabric remnants from the thrift store on a $1.99 sale tag day, so it’s a cheaper option all combined. I wash the fleece in a big pet laundry bag so the hay and hair and any residual pellets don’t clog up my machine.I also scatter some of these pellets in the “kitchen” of the cage since these critters like to poop where they eat. Guinea pigs are cute but not much for personal hygiene, haha. I toss some hay on top of the kitchen pellets for their comfort.Definitely recommend these!

    Great Transitional Litter
    The pellets are great and smell like wood however they aren’t really absorbant with odor. After like a few uses, you start to smell feces again which sucks. Great for a quick fix but not sure I’ll use forever. Great to transition your cat from clay/crystal litter to wood pellets but other than that, I don’t see myself using it much more.

    Great for the bunny. He gobbles this up. Easy to scoop out. Little broken up this time. It a good size, not heavy to carry. Do wish that it was in box. Amazon threw a label on it

    Good Pellets – small bag
    Good product just a small bag. I bought for our chicks, as I didn’t have time to run to the feed store. I greatly underestimated how small this bag was. But you still get a quality product. It was my own fault for not reading the description good enough to see it was a smaller bag. Pellets smell good and are absorbent.

    Bit over priced but good product
    I gave this three stars just because I feel it’s overpriced. I can find it cheaper at my local pet store. But I do love the quality of the wood chips for my favorites litter pan. It holds up well is always packaged well and helps control odor.

    Camp Toilet Pellets
    This is my second time purchasing the Kaytee Wood Pellets. I use them in my bagged camp toilet. The pellets turn into sawdust when met with liquids. The bag is a little awkward to keep closed after opening. Therefore, I store the pellets in a large plastic jug with a screw on lid. I use a scoop to remove the amount of pellets needed. This allows the dust from the pellets to settle at the bottom of the jug. The pellets work well for the purposes for which I purchased them. I would purchase them again.
