    Nutrition for your pet
This book is very informative and covers the basic information and an in-depth study of digestive process.

  2. Dennis K. Burgess

    Very detailed textbook
This is quite a book. It is a serious textbook that is almost 700 pages in length. I did not catch that part, as I am not a big reader of books. It is a very detailed book that goes into all factors of pet nutrition and how it is properly achieved. I was looking for a book to help me make nutritious foods for my dogs at home, and this book goes way beyond that. If you are looking for some basic facts look elsewhere. If you want to become an expert on pet nutrition, this book is for you.

    Great resource for lay persons
Excellent nutrition book. Written in a language that is understandable to the common reader. Very well laid out and easy to skip back and forth for more in-depth discussion of interesting topics. Lots of charts are really appreciated. I’ve tagged several for easy future reference. The 2011 revision makes the material up to date. I highly recommend this book to people who believe nutrition is important for both people and their companion dog and/or cat.

    In depth nutrition
Scientific but not so technical that the layman can’t understand it. Tons of good info here. Well worth the money, whether you’re in the field or, like me, just trying to learn so you can help your pet. If you really want to learn in depth about pet nutrition, start here.

A perfect overview of basic nutrition and how to incorporate into practice. Great refresher as a veterinarian who has been out of school for a few years.

    My New Favorite Reference Book
I haven’t digested it all yet, but every time I start into this book I find more information that I want, need, and will use to make a well designed diet for our active hunting dogs. It’s a MUST HAVE for dog lovers who understand the limitations of feeding a kibble and/or canned diet. Helps keep you from making mistakes in your dog’s diet that could cost you his health and his longevity.

  9. Clarabell

Its a book on cat and dog nutrition, but not for the general dog/cat owner a loot more in depth as doing a credited course and need references.

  10. Fair reviews

I bought this book because I wanted to understand proper nutrition for my dog – there are so many websites out there with unscientific information that I felt the best way was to by a proper nutrition text book. The book is well written and easy to understand, admittedly I have a scientific background…

  11. Michael Rodey

    Kindle formatting struggles with diagrams

  12. Lisa

Well written, lots of information. This book would most likely be more for the professional trainer, or nutritionist (or vet) that wants more scientific and more indepth material on dog nutrition. It might be too much of a deep read on nutrition for the average dog owner.

  13. PAOLO ROSSI

Tutto Ok, arrivato in anticipo. Ottimo libro.
