Real-World Tested: Lexar SILVER PRO Delivers Speed and Value
The Lexar Professional SILVER PRO SDXC UHS-II Card is a value proposition and reliable performer that largely lives up to its promises.Lexar advertises speeds of up to 280MB/s read and 160MB/s write. In benchmark testing using CrystalDiskMark software, the card reached a maximum read speed of 259.17MB/s. While slightly below the claimed read speed, it remains impressively fast. Notably, the peak write speed came in at 164.98MB/s, slightly exceeding Lexar’s own specifications. These memory cards shine in real-world use. The V60 speed class is more than sufficient for most creative tasks, and performance remained consistent even during multiple small file transfers and sustained in-camera recording. Paired with my Canon R6ii, they handled high-resolution stills and 4K video recording with ease, and had excellent responsiveness handling bursts of uncompressed RAW files.Overall, the Lexar SILVER PRO offers a compelling combination of speed, capacity, and price, making it a smart choice for all photographers.

It works, what more to say?
Needed a backup set of memory cards for my camera that supports the higher sped (and way more expensive) standards. These work great, and if i dont need extreme burst shooting they are perfect and much more economical.

  3. Shannon Frei

    Great investment.
Love it! CD card performance is very important with my line of wk and this one is exceptionally functional in comparison to similar cards.

    Amazing Quality
I LOVE this SD card. It performed exactly how I needed it to. I used this for a wedding and it recording photos quickly. My camera did not give me the busy signal at all. I highly recommend this card. I used this card in my Canon EOS R.

    I have 8 of them
Great value, works great, read speeds are plenty fast. I have 8.

  6. Joshua C

    Yup, it works
Got this to go in my Olympus point and shoot camera and it works great. The card is pretty much what you would expect, fits the way it is supposed to, haven’t had any issues with quality or compatibility at all. I didn’t test the write speed but have not had issues with video lagging or not being able to take photos fast enough (the camera is the gating factor here). 512MB is big enough for my uses without having to worry about running out of space.

Legit SD cards, rated capacity, perhaps a little slower than promised
With rampant fraud in the memory device market (smaller-capacity devices pretending to be larger than they are, rejected devices ending up in the retail market) I always run a test on new USB drives and memory cards. These Lexar Pro silver SD cards have no bad bits, test at full-rated capacity, and are fairly fast. They don’t test to their “up to” numbers. That could be other links in the system, like my USB 3.0 card reader (doubtful but possible) but they are fast enough for my Fuji XT-5 and I have two of them, one for each slot. If your camera has two slots, always put a card in each and write to both – the best insurance!

    Very reliable
This has been my SD Card of choice since i started my photography journey. I haven’t had any problems using and retrieving data after a photo shoot. My Canon R7 doesn’t lag when taking fast moving action shots. I have about 6 cards now and none have ever had any issues.

Great value card. Use it for my photography work where we end up shooting more than 2000 photos per 4-5 hours and need immediate transfer for backup quite frequently. Have owned couple of these and none haven’t failed on me since the last 5-6 years. Good speeds

£32 at time of review 128GBI’ve had two 256GB Lexar Professional SSD (1000x 150MBS) for the past 5 years that have worked faultlessly in all that time… I generally shoot video so I’ve never had any bottle necks on my cameras, that cards have handled it fine. But as I’m showing more photos now, in RAW at 61MP, the old cards were feeling the pain when I did burst shots, I’d have to wait for the camera to clear it’s buffer and the old cards just couldn’t keep up.Not anymore, these keep up with what I need. Yes you can go up another level if you need to, but I don’t need that yet and these are perfect for my current needs. Plus as I’ve said, my old cards have been flawless in 5 years, so I have no qualms trusting these to be the same for years to come.Hope my review was helpful
