   Toddler loves her “sparkle shoes”
   2 year old toddler cannot get enough of her “sparkle shoes.” While they’d not be my first choice in terms of “style,” she cannot get enough of them and asks to wear them every day. The lights are bright and she loves activating them. They’ve held up well so far and fit well. Sale price was great, and at least the colors are “neutral” enough to go with most outfits.

   Only lights up on the side
   Last school year, my daughter had unicorn Twinkle Toes shoes that she loved and wore nearly every day. She loved the crazy bright colors and the light up toes. She needed a new pair for this school year and these shoes were the most similar to her old ones, so I ordered them.It looks exactly like the pictures — sparkly, big unicorn on the side, silver gems on the toes. But the toes don’t light up. The unicorn does, but not the toes. Based on my kid’s last pair, I just assumed the toes would light up as well (they’re called Twinkle Toes, after all). I went back to read the description to see if I overlooked this detail, but it doesn’t specify. It’s a small issue, but given how expensive these shoes can be, is kind of a bummer.On the positive side: the shoes are sturdy. Nothing flimsy about them. The stitching seems strong and I feel confident they’ll hold up to whatever my 6 year old puts them through. The side zipper makes it easy to get the high-top shoes on and off, which is convenient if you have a kid who gets frustrated easily when getting themselves ready. And, even without the light-up toes, my kid absolutely loves them.

   Lights break after one use
   We were thrilled to learn they were light up shoes. We pulled them out of the box, tried them on then put them back until school started. First Day of school shoes go on and we walk the 2 minute walk to school…and the right shoes lights stop working. Obviously devastation ensued and our first great day of school was ruined before it began. So basically three stars because the fit was great, the design is super cute, but the lights already breaking before the shoes themselves have been broken in…just disappointing to a 5 year old. Can’t determine the value for money just yet based on the entire shoe versus just the light as they’ve only been worn 1 day but if the shoes deteriorates as fast as the lights then I’m a little worried.

    Meine kleine Nichte hatte bereits ähnliche Sneaker von Skechers, ist diesen aber bereits entwachsen. Sie ließ sich selbst mit viel gutem Zureden nicht dazu bringen, diese alten Schuhe endlich wegwerfen zu lassen, obwohl sie im Zehenbereich bereits löchrig waren. Daher habe ich mich auf die Suche gemacht in der Hoffnung, die gleichen Sneaker in ihrer aktuellen Größe zu finden. Die gab es aber nicht mehr, daher habe ich mich für die Twinkle Toes entschieden, hatte aber irgendwie die Befürchtung, dass ihr die nicht ähnlich genug zu ihren seien. War aber glücklicherweise nicht so – meine Nichte hat ihre neuen Sneaker gleich angezogen, sie zum Blinken gebracht und war überglücklich; nachdem sie gleich ein paar Runden in den neuen Schuhen gedreht hat, hat sie mir ihre alten Sneaker in die Hand gedrückt und sie konnten endlich entsorgt werden.Nichte glücklich – alles richtig gemacht mit diesen Schuhen.
