    Perfect for pet food storage!
    I really like this storage container! I had been using just a bucket w/ screw top lid and it wasn’t big enough so I went on the search for something that would hold more, but wasn’t bulky, was easy to move around/had good maneuverability, and looked decent in my kitchen. This was the perfect option for what I was looking for! I like that it’s slim-lined, not bulky, but holds much more than my bucket did! My picture shows how full it is after dumping a brand new 15lb bag of Iams minichunks dogfood…Because it is more narrow at the bottom and widens greatly at the top, it still has about 1/3 room left at the top so it should hold 22lbs as it says. This is the perfect size for us – we don’t need any bigger. I left re-usable shopping bags on the floor in the background & put the container next to our kitchen garbage for reference so people can see how this measures up for size. It is the 28qt size that holds 22lbs. The 4 wheels are easy to pop on and they glide nicely and rotate 360 so it’s definitely easy to maneuver around & move wherever you need it. The lid has an airtight lid lock which seems sturdy & tight…I can’t smell the dogfood so that is a good sign to me that it’s airtight! I like that it is “clear” but “smoke” colored so I can see the level of dogfood in bright light but I can’t see thru it completely so it still looks nice in my kitchen. Overall, I am really happy with my purchase. I’m not sure why people complain about the size when it clearly lists the dimensions, how much it holds and there are several size options to choose from. I needed something that would hold 15lbs of dogfood so I bought the appropriate size & it holds exactly how much they state. It’s a great storage container for pet food purposes and I’m sure many other uses as well!

    Works great. love the mobility. As promised arrived quickly. holds plenty. Sturdy enough to hold and store bird food in the garage. Easy access is a plus the lid is tight enough to keep out the bugs. It is extremely nice to be able to move it around the floor out of the way when needed. Would and did buy again!

    Fits:-16 lb bag Friskies Seafood, or- 25 lb bag Costco Maintenance Cat,… both in their original bags.(Someone said it does NOT fit the 22 lb bag of Friskies, which I would believe, but I haven’t tried.)This smoke-colored 28-qt “up to 22 lbs” bin is attractive and functional. I needed bug-proof cat food storage, (to leave in an outdoor shed) that was easy for others to use when I go on vacation. I like this bin better than the two Vittles Vault bins I tried. The Vittles Vault is supposed to be uniquely airtight, but I found that water would trickle out through the threads unless I *really* tightened the lid super hard, so hard that it defeated the purpose of having an easy to open and use cat food storage bin, for my vacation cat feeders.Because cat food is so greasy, I put the bag itself in the bin, to keep from developing a rancid biofilm on the inside – haha. I also think the bag might keep the food a little fresher; I don’t think the gasket keeps the bin 100% airtight.Easily fits my usual 16 lb bag of Friskies “Seafood” flavor. It also fit an unopened 25 lb bag of Costco’s “Maintenance Cat” food, but just barely. (It takes a trick. I upend the bag so I can put the empty end of the bag in first, and let the kibbles fill into the shape of the storage bin, as the bag settles. It doesn’t work to just drop an unopened bag of cat food in, because it usually bulges the sides of the bin out, which deforms the seal with the lid.)When I go on vacation, I leave this cat food bin in my open air shed for my neighbors to feed my outdoor-only feral cats. I roll up the bag tightly, inside the bin, to reduce smells that might attract insects or animals (and to keep the food fresher). Sadly, the trio of juvenile racoons that make nightly rounds, routinely got into the food by knocking the bin over. The latch itself is certainly not strong enough to prevent raccoon entry. So sadly, I’ll have to come up with some way to keep the racoons out next vacation: Pile bricks on the lid? Strap encircling the bin? Secure the bin with heavy objects that prevent it from being rolled around or knocked over?I still think there’s no other pet food storage bin that is as pest-proof and convenient to use as this one.

    Fits a 16 lb bag of food perfectly
    It easily fits a 16 lb bag of Purina One cat food perfectly along with what was left of the old bag. If I had to guess I’d probably say that this would easily hold 20 pounds of food at one time. I’m not sure I’d put more than that though.I kept the food in the bag because it isn’t an air tight container, and since I only have 2 cats I want the food kept as fresh as possible for as long as possible.I did clean it out before I put the bag in, and it seems easy to clean even if you don’t keep the food in the bag.This is very easy to use. The only thing you have to do is put the wheels on and pop the lid on. This will be much easier to open than just keeping the food in a bag that’s on the ground.This isn’t stackable at all, but the capacity is perfect for 1 to 3 house pets. Great container. I recommend it.
