   Great for hiking and around town
   I just spent 8 days in the Utah wilderness disbursed camping, rappelling and hiking. My feet love Keens for the wide toe box and narrow heel. These shoes were great from the airport trip, campsite and hiking through sandstone, loose dirt and gravel and granite surfaces, as well as rappelling down canyon walls. No slipping at all, the bottom grip was great. They were comfortable right out of the box, and no feet pain which I typically have. I ordered them 1/2 size too large so I could use my custom Superfeet insoles under the Keen insole which has more cushion. The Superfeet insole keeps my heel in the correct position but doesn’t provide enough cushioning for the bottom of my feet. This worked well for me. A drawback, which I suppose is also a plus in the summer for lightweight and breathability is the mesh material on the top. The fine Utah sandy dirt accumulated in my shoes, so i had to dump it out each night. The tongue slips a bit to the side which is a bit irritating, it seems to need another slot for the laces to go through higher towards the top to stay in place. I didn’t tromp through streams, though there were wet areas, and the shoes remained waterproof. The shoes are comfy and cute to wear around town. I wasn’t sure about the light brown color at first, preferring a darker color, but I really like them. Definitely recommend.

   The grip on these are incredible!
   I scheduled my first hike ever and needed shoes to wear. I originally purchased Merrill directly from the Merrill site – it took over 2 weeks for them to show, I wore them inside the house for 2 hours and my feet were really hurting. So with my hike 3 days away, I turned to Amazon and found these – total winner!! They arrived within 2 days (thank you Amazon!) and they were Incredibly comfortable for the few hours I wore inside the house and then all through the hike. The grip strength on the sole is PHENOMENAL, I was climbing up rocks like nobody’s business, zero slipping on anything. After a 3 hour hike, my feet felt fantastic. These are the best shoes I could’ve ever purchased and I highly recommend to all.

   Cute Shoe, Execution Lacking
   The shoes itself is a really cute style and the idea is great. Execution is meh. Maybe Keens are just not for my type of foot. The shoe was either too small lengthwise or the heel was way too big and my foot was slipping out. This was with the standard width shoe. Maybe a wide foot person would have better luck. But the sole also lacked padding or support or comfort. I’m not sure which or maybe all three.

   Women’s Keen hiking shoe fit well and was comfortable during wearing in Alaska. Arrived timely.

   Great shoe, great look.
   Love these shoes. Finally a quality sneaker that’s not lime green or pink or purple. I always see the nice color choices the guys get with a sneaker and wondered why the women’s come in children’s colors. I can wear these to work without looking like I’m headed to tennis. And, of course, they’re Keens – the quality is top notch.

   No Ankle Support-flimsy
   Love the look but these were not practical even for a walk on a paved, flat path. They have absolutely no ankle support-the tongue moves around and they need to be laced up higher. My ankles were killing me after wearing for just an hour. They also seemed to force my feet to sort of turn in. Not durable besides the soles. I was afraid to hike in them and twist an ankle. Pretty disappointed and hope I can return.

    5 étoiles pour le confort, la seule critique est que la langue n’est pas cousue mais pour l’instant elle est stable! J’ai également changles lacets pour des plus résistants.J’ai également acheté les bottes, mais elles seront trop chaudes pour l’Arizona. Nous allons faire des randonnées d’environ 8 km. Pas très escarpé donc un soulier souple me conviendra. Si ce n’est pas le cas je ferai un autre avis au retour.
